Home Invasion Suspect Caught

April 7, 2020 by Michael Skurski

Kalamazoo, MI:
On April 6th 2020, Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to the 400-block of Whitcomb for the report of a home invasion. The reporting party called saying they observed someone breaking into their neighbor’s house. The first arriving officers saw the suspect inside and were able to confine the suspect to a rear bathroom where they barricaded themselves. Contact was made with the resident to confirm that no one should be at the home. Officers were able to safely make entry, locate, and arrest the suspect, a 23-year-old Kalamazoo resident.

Public Safety extends its gratitude to the diligent neighbors who reported the initial crime that resulted in the arrest.

Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 488-8911 or Silent Observer at 343-2100
