Kalamazoo, MI: On March 4th, 2020 at 2:37pm, Public Safety Officers responded to
the intersection of W North St and Stuart Ave in reference to a pedestrian that was
struck by a vehicle. Officers located a 15 year old with minor injuries.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers rendered aid until LIFE EMS arrived and transported the victim to Bronson Hospital.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was questioned by officers. Several
witnesses also stayed on scene and provided statements. It was revealed that the victim
was walking eastbound on W. North St, at Stuart Ave, in the provided crosswalk
when she was struck by the vehicle as it was turning to travel south on Stuart Ave. The at fault driver was cited in the incident. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
