Kalamazoo, MI: On August 27, 2019 Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to the 1600 block of E. Cork St, Omni Credit Union, for a report of a Robbery in progress. Bank employees advised that a male suspect, armed with a handgun entered the bank at approximately 10:33 am, demanding money from employees. During the robbery the suspect fired shots while inside the bank. Nobody was injured during the incident. The suspect left on foot a short time after entering the business. Officers searched the area but the suspect was not located. An unknown amount of cash was taken.
The suspect is described as a black male in his thirties approximately six foot tall with a slender build wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, black pants, dark colored gloves and had his face covered by a red and black bandanna. The suspect was armed with a silver handgun. The suspect left on foot a short time after entering the business. Officers searched the area but the suspect was not located. An unknown amount of cash was taken.
