Female Found Deceased in her Bed

March 8, 2019 by Kalamazoo Public Safety

Kalamazoo, MI: On Friday, March 08, 2019, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a residence in the 1500 block of Charles St. Public Safety Officers found a 35 year old female deceased in her bedroom. Also inside the home were four children ranging in ages 2 years of age to eight. All four children have been placed with family and were unharmed.

Officers attempted to make contact with a person of interest in this investigation. The 32 year old male fled in a vehicle, leading officers in a pursuit through the City of Kalamazoo. The driver, a Kalamazoo resident, ditched the vehicle on Ingleside Drive. He then fled on foot, where he was ultimately located hiding in an abandoned home. He is currently being held on charges of Fleeing Eluding and a Bond Violation.

This investigation is still on-going. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow morning at WMED Medical facility. Anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is asked to call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 488-8911 or Silent Observer at 343-2100 or www.kalamazoosilentobserver.com.
