Stolen auto leads officers on a pursuit.

Kalamazoo, MI: On Sunday February 10th, 2019 at about 1:45AM officers were flagged down at a gas station in the 400 block of W Michigan Ave regarding a vehicle that had just been stolen. The owner of the vehicle was able to track the location of the stolen vehicle which was found near 131 and W Main. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled Northbound on 131. The pursuit continued into Allegan County where assisting agencies assumed the pursuit. Eventually the vehicle became partially disabled from the use of spike strips and the occupant fled. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Department soon located and arrested the driver of the stolen auto and turned him over to KDPS officers. A 48 year old Detroit man is facing a variety of felony charges related to the incident.
