MALE ARRESTED AFTER BREAKING INTO BUSINESS

October 1, 2018 by Danielle Guilds

Kalamazoo, MI-

On Monday, October 1st 2018 around 07:00 am, an alert business owner in the 1300 block of Fulford contacted Kalamazoo Public Safety dispatch after viewing a subject inside his facility on the video security system. Public Safety officers quickly arrived into the area and approached on foot. A male pushing a wheelbarrow full of items was observed leaving the business and was promptly apprehended without incident. When the business owner arrived he confirmed that the items in the wheelbarrow had been stolen from inside of the business.

The suspect, identified as a 50 year old male, was arrested on the charge of breaking and entering. The male was lodged at the Kalamazoo County jail.

Kalamazoo Public Safety encourages business owners and residents to have video and/or security systems in place to be able to assist law enforcement with the apprehension and identification of suspects in criminal cases.
