****All SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY****800 Riverview, shots fired

Shots fired 800 Riverview, two subjects injured

*****ALL SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY*****

Kalamazoo, MI: On Sunday, September 23, 2018 at 9:52 P.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 800 block of Riverview Dr. Upon arrival officers discovered that two people had been shot during the incident, including a 17 year old Kalamazoo resident with a grazing gunshot wound and an 18 year old Kalamazoo resident with a gunshot wound to the leg. These injuries are non-life threatening. The suspects in the incident were in a stolen silver Nissan Altima with Illinois plate ZY44226. The suspect vehicle left the scene northbound on Riverview Dr.

The suspect vehicle in this incident was located, which led to a pursuit that ended in the area of Davis St and Wheaton Ave when the vehicle crashed and the occupants fled. The vehicle was occupied by 3 subjects, one of which has been located and arrested. There are two outstanding subjects who could be armed with handguns. There are numerous officers in the area from multiple jurisdictions including Michigan State Police, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department and Western Michigan University as we continue to look for the outstanding suspects. We are asking that anyone in this area call 911 to report anything suspicious and stay vigilant if they are in the vicinity of this incident.

ALL SUSPECTS ARE NOW IN CUSTODY, THERE IS NO FURTHER CONCERN FOR PUBLIC SAFETY
