Shots Fired 4000 Lakesedge

Shots fired 4000 Lakesedge Dr

Kalamazoo, MI:

On September 12, 2018, at approximately 8:59 PM, Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Lakesedge Dr. in reference to a report of a subject who had possibly been shot. On scene officer’s located a 23 year old male yelling for help, behind one of the buildings. Initially, it was unknown whether or not the subject had actually been struck by a bullet. The subject advised being involved in an altercation with a group and that shots were fired however his injury was determined not to be from a gunshot. The subject was transported to Borgess hospital where he was treated and released. The shooter is unknown at this time but was believed to in a group consisting of three black males and one black female. Several witnesses believed the suspects’ left the area in a silver or gray Chevy Equinox. No K9 track was attempted due to this information. This incident is currently under investigation.
