Kalamazoo, MI
On Sunday, August 26th, 2018 at approximately 12:15 pm, a Kalamazoo Public Safety officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1300 block of Clinton St. While on the traffic stop an odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was later searched and a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol was located under the driver’s seat. A quantity of marijuana was also located on the passenger of the vehicle. The driver was identified as a 27 year old Kalamazoo resident. He was arrested for the charges of carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was lodged at the Kalamazoo County jail. The passenger, a 20 year old Kalamazoo resident, is facing charges of possession of marijuana.
