Crack, Methamphetamine, and Marijuana seized

Kalamazoo, MI: On Saturday, May 12, 2018 at approximately 1:00 A.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers were conducting surveillance in the 700 block of Douglas Ave when they witnessed a drug transaction take place. Officers contacted the subject that they had observed purchase drugs and recovered crack cocaine from him along with a printed business card that contained a nick name and phone number for the dealer. When officers contacted the suspected dealer, he attempted to conceal things in his clothing and had marijuana on his lap. During a search of the suspect, he was found to have suspected crack cocaine, methamphetamine, Ecstasy and a matching “business card” concealed in his underwear as well as a large amount of currency in his pocket. Officers called the phone number on the business card which caused the suspected dealers cell phone to ring.

As a result of the investigation a 25 year old Chicago resident was arrested and lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail on multiple drug related charges.

Anyone have information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8994 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
