Kalamazoo, MI:
On Sunday, February 25, 2018, at approximately 11:12 AM, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Riverview Drive regarding a possible dead body in the water.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to the area based on witness information and located a male, obviously deceased, lying in the flood water near a business. Officers secured the area and recovered the body. The victim’s vehicle was found submerged in water nearby. The Kalamazoo County Dive Team assisted with the investigation.
The circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation. The identity of the victim is not being released at this time. Kalamazoo Public Safety would like to extend condolences to the victim’s family.
