Kalamazoo Ave Hit and Run Accident

Kalamazoo Ave. / N. Park Street Accident

Kalamazoo, MI:  On Saturday, February 17, 2018 at approximately 12:47 A.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a two car vehicle accident at W Kalamazoo Avenue  and N. Park Street.  A red Dodge Magnum was northbound on N. Park Street and ran a red light at Kalamazoo Avenue striking a white Chevrolet Impala.  A witness reported that the driver of the Magnum fled the scene of the accident.  The driver that fled from the scene of the accident was apprehended by officers a few blocks away.  The driver was treated for minor injuries he received as a result of the crash.  The driver of the other vehicle had no injuries.  The 31 year old suspect was arrested for several charges including leaving the scene of an accident and possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine.
