On November 29, 2017 at approximately 07:10 AM, two female students who were walking to Milwood Middle School reported a criminal incident. Both explained that while they were walking on Konkle St in between Cork St and Royce St, a male subject on a bike rode up behind them. Hearing the approaching bicyclist, both females stepped off the sidewalk and into the grass to let him pass. As the bicyclist passed, he reached behind and inappropriately touched one of the female students. The suspect continued riding northbound on Konkle St and left in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as an average build black male, approximately 60 to 70 years old and was wearing a large dark coat, dark colored pants and riding a dark colored bike. The suspect was further described as being “scruffy” and having unkempt facial hair.
Anyone having information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety at 337-8994 or Silent Observer at 343-2100.
