Update #2: On November 9th, 2017, at approximately 6:40am, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded to a 911 call of multiple gunshots in the 100 block of E. Emerson St. As officers arrived they encountered a traumatic scene involving three victims, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began lifesaving measures, securing the scene, and initiating an investigation. It was later learned, Nicholas Allen Mitchell, a 40 year old Kalamazoo resident had an argument with the mother of his child, Ms. Julina Gale Gibson, a 30 year old Kalamazoo resident.
