Kalamazoo, MI: On, May 10, 2017 at approximately 3:14 pm KDPS was dispatched to a personal injury accident involving a motorcycle. Rescue and police personnel quickly responded. Upon arrival it was determined a motorcycle, with a single rider, was westbound on W Main St when it sideswiped a medical transport van that was eastbound. The transport van had no passengers.
The motorcyclist, who had been wearing a helmet, was alert and conscious. Upon examination a severe laceration was found on his left leg. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital. He is listed in stable condition at this time. The driver of the transport van was not injured.
