May 5, 2017 by Kalamazoo Public Safety

On May 5th, 2017 the Police Foundation, an independent, non-partisan organization dedicated to advancing policing will release its critical incident review of the mass shooting that occurred in Kalamazoo City/County on February 20th, 2016. The Police Foundation conducted a review of the San Bernardino California terrorist attack, and is completing a review of the Orlando Florida Pulse Nightclub shooting.

The Police Foundation’s critical incident review identifies the outstanding work of all first responders who were involved in this terrible tragedy, highlights areas that could be improved upon prospectively, and serves as a learning tool for other law enforcement and public safety agencies who may face a similar tragedy.
