Suspect Arrested With Firearm After Damaging Property

Kalamazoo, MI: On April 15, 2017, around 3:38 A.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to the 100-block of East Maple for two subjects who had kicked in a resident’s door. The victim and the suspects were both known to each other. After damaging the victim’s door the suspects left the scene in a vehicle. Two public safety officers located the vehicle in the area of Rose St. and Wall St. During the course of their investigation they learned one of the suspects was armed with a .380 handgun. Upon conducting a search of the vehicle the handgun was recovered along with ammunition and marijuana.

The  26-year-old suspect was arrested for carrying a concealed firearm.
