Felonious Assault Suspect Arrested

April 13, 2017 by Kalamazoo Public Safety

Kalamazoo, MI:  On Tuesday, April 12, 2017, at approximately 4:00 P.M., A Kalamazoo Public Safety sergeant, on routine patrol in the 1000 block of N. Church, observed an individual pointing a handgun at another subject.  The suspect fled on foot upon seeing the police.  During the ensuing foot pursuit the suspect broke into an uninvolved third party’s residence in an attempt to evade the sergeant.  The residents fled their home and were unharmed. The suspect was eventually removed from the house and arrested without further incident.

The 24 year old suspect is a Kalamazoo resident.  He was arrested for felonious assault, home invasion, and resisting and obstructing.
