Kalamazoo, MI: On Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at approximately 5:00 P.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a car / motorcycle accident on Lovers Lane at Cork. A motorcyclist traveling south on Lovers Lane struck a car turning westbound onto Cork from northbound Lovers Lane. The 55 year old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The driver of the car was not injured. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.

The victim of this crash has been identified as Kalamazoo resident, Dezmond Campbell, 02/01/62. The cause of death is pending as we wait on autopsy results that will take 6-8 weeks.
