KDPS Lobby Service Closed Friday, April 14 for Good Friday

The Kalamazoo Public Safety lobby at 150 E. Crosstown Parkway will be closed on Friday, April 14, 2017, in observance of Good Friday.

Normal business days/hours will resume on Monday, April 17, 2017: Mon-Thurs 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Fri 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. for the desk officers and Mon-Fri, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Records Division, excluding holidays.

For emergencies, please call 9-1-1. For non-emergency assistance if you need an officer, please call 269-337-8120 and select “2” for the dispatch center.

The following alternatives are also available:

To make an online report at any time for: child custody violation, lost property, theft, harassing phone call, malicious destruction of property, identity theft, theft of gas, suspicious activity, and/or trouble with subject: go to the Report a Crime page and follow the prompts to make your report.

To pay a parking ticket issued by the City of Kalamazoo/Public Safety, do so by phone at 1-888-995-5110, or online at www.parkingticketpayment.com/kalamazoo.

Copies of accident reports are available for purchase online at https://policereports.lexisnexis.com/.

To request a copy of a police report, send an email to kdpsrecords@kalamazoocity.org with the specific request and it will be acknowledged during business hours on Mon. April 17th.

For criminal history checks, the Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) allows the search of public criminal history record information maintained by the Michigan State Police, Criminal Justice Information Center. All felonies and serious misdemeanors that are punishable by over 93 days are required to be reported to the state repository by law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, and courts in all 83 Michigan counties. Information on obtaining these background checks is available at http://apps.michigan.gov/ichat/home.aspx.

Sex Offender Registration payments will not be accepted on Good Friday.
