Kalamazoo, MI: On Saturday, March 25th, at approximately 3:26 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to several reports of shots fired in the 1000 block of Interfaith. As officers were responding to this call, a male was transported by private vehicle to the emergency room of Bronson Hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers were then also dispatched to the hospital and able to determine that the 28 year old victim had been shot recently in the 1000 block of Interfaith. The male was immediately rushed into surgery and could not provide a statement. A witness that was with the victim was unable to provide any information as to how the shooting occurred. Officers located several spent shell casings in the parking lot, but were unable to find any witnesses. There are no suspects in this incident at the current time.
