Kalamazoo, MI: On January 15, 2017 a Kalamazoo woman drove herself to Bronson Hospital after her former boyfriend attacked her with a knife. The victim was giving the man a ride when the assault occurred. The suspect refused to allow the victim to seek medical treatment for injuries suffered during the assault. After pleading with her attacker, she was able to convince him to allow her medical care. He ordered her to let him out of the car a few blocks from the hospital.
Officers located the suspect in a home in the Edison Neighborhood. He was taken into custody without incident.
The 52 year old Kalamazoo resident was lodged at the Kalamazoo County jail charged with Attempted Homicide, False Imprisonment, and Domestic Assault 3rd Offense.
