Death Investigation

Kalamazoo, MI:  On Tuesday, January 10th, 2017, at approximately 11:45 a.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to the area of Gull Rd. and Ray St. reference a body floating in the Kalamazoo River. Upon arrival officers located the subject and determined that the he was deceased. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division were called to the scene to assist in the investigation.

The deceased subject is described as a white male in his 50’s. The incident is still under investigation and the exact cause of death will not be known until an autopsy is performed.

Update

The deceased subject has been identified as Kalamazoo Resident, Timothy Robert Burns (52yrs). The incident is still under investigation and the exact cause of death will not be known until an autopsy is performed.
