Investigation leads to stolen property and drugs

October 3, 2016 by Spencer Bridges

Kalamazoo, MI: Sunday, October 02, 2016 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers responded to an area hotel regarding a subject that had not checked out on time. The caller stated that the subject was supposed to check out at 11:00 a.m. and was not responding to knocks at the door, further that he could be seen lying on the bed. Upon arrival Officers observed the subject lying on the bed and got no response. They entered to check his welfare and he was found to be sleeping, extremely hard. In plain view the officers saw methamphetamine and marijuana. The subject was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana with the intent to deliver. A search warrant was conducted and stolen property from several home invasions was recovered.
