Pedestrians struck and injured in hit and run

September 13, 2016 by Spencer Bridges

Kalamazoo, MI: On Monday, September 12, 2016 at approximately 10:56 PM, Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to a report of two injured subjects in the 1100 block of Sherwood Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a 32 year old female and a 48 year old male with serious injuries due to being struck by a vehicle. The female victim was unresponsive but breathing and the male victim was alert and conscious. The victims were transported to Bronson Hospital and the female victim is currently in critical condition and the male victim is in serious condition. The involved vehicle fled the scene prior to officers arriving. The limited suspect information is that the vehicle is a sedan that is either gray or black in color. The incident remains under investigation. The suspect vehicle should have some type of front end damage.

Anyone who may have information regarding this investigation is asked to call Kalamazoo Public Safety at 337-8994 or Silent Observer at 343-2100 or www.kalamazoosilentobserver.com.
