Multiple homes tagged with graffiti in the Vine Neighborhood

Kalamazoo, MI: On Sunday 9-4-16 in the morning hours, officers from Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety investigated a series of incidents where homes, a vehicle, trash cans and similar items were spray painted with white and black spray paint. The affected areas are near W Vine, S Park, W Dutton and Potter Streets in the Vine neighborhood near downtown Kalamazoo. The incident is believed to have occurred around 0400hrs when a witness scared the suspect away. At this time approximately 20 houses have been identified as being damaged with the repair costs into the thousands of dollars. Officers have recovered evidence related to the crime and are investigating further to identify the suspect(s).
