Kalamazoo, MI: On Saturday August 6, 2016, at about 1214 hours, a 23 year old female arrived at Bronson Hospital with a stab wound to her chest. A Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officer was on scene at the hospital when the victim arrived and conducted interviews with the victim and several witnesses who had accompanied her. Upon conducting interviews, it was reported that the victim was at a residence in the 300 block of Wall St when an argument erupted and the resident grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim.
Officers responded to the residence and located the suspect outside. The residence was searched and a knife was recovered along with suspected marijuana. As a result of the investigation a 24 year old female was placed into custody for assault with intent to murder. At this time the victim is listed in stable condition.
