Great Lakes Burn Camp

Kalamazoo, MI: The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is a proud sponsor of the Great Lakes Burn Camp. A non-profit organization which provides a week long retreat for children ages 6-17 who have survived a burn related injury. There is no cost for the children to attend the camp.

The camp will be starting on Sunday August 7th, 2016. The campers will assemble at the Wings Stadium from where they will be transported to camp on a parade of Fire Engines escorted by hundred’s motorcycling supporters.

The parade will be departing Wings Stadium at 1:00 pm.

The Great Lakes Burn camp encourages their supporters by waving to the campers as they proceed to camp. The parade route will be:

  • Wings Stadium to Covington Road
  • Covington Road to Kilgore Road
  • Kilgore Road to Portage Road
  • Portage Road to Center Street
  • Center Street proceeds into “Q” Ave West
  •  “Q” Avenue directly to the Pretty Lake Vacation Camp
