Officers respond to accident involving motorcycle and SUV

June 24, 2016 by Spencer Bridges

Kalamazoo, MI: On Thursday June 23, 2016, at approximately 9:02 pm, Kalamazoo Public Safety officers responded to an accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV near the intersection of S. Burdick and Crescent Street. The motorcycle, which was traveling southbound on Burdick, lost control rounding the curve and crashed. The driver, a 33 year old male, and passenger, a 38 year old female, fell from the motorcycle sliding into the SUV and sustained non life threatening injuries. The SUV driven by an alert driver slowed to a stop before hitting the motorcycle. The driver of the SUV was uninjured. The driver of the motorcycle was taken by a friend to Borgess Hospital. The passenger of the motorcycle was taken by Life to Bronson. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
