Citizen complaints lead to crack cocaine seizure

Kalamazoo, MI: Thursday, June 23, 2016 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Kalamazoo Public Safety Officers put forth efforts to address crime in the area of Ada St. and Woodbury. This was a continuation of daily efforts to address community concerns of illicit drug sells. At approximately 10:00 a.m. officers observed a narcotics transaction in the 600 block of Ada St. Contact was made with a 33 year old Kalamazoo resident who was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. At approximately 1:00 p.m. officers served a search warrant also in the 600 block of Ada St. Several baggies of crack cocaine, marijuana and a scale were located. $6000 in cash was forfeited. A 33 year old Kalamazoo resident was arrested for possession with the intent to deliver crack cocaine and maintaining a drug house.
