KDPS looking for missing person with mental illness

UPDATE:

Kalamazoo, MI: On 5-13-16 Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety was contacted by a family member of Shelly Apple. The family member advised officers that Apple had called stating that she was in Tennessee. Officers followed up on this information and located a specific address for Apple in Columbia, Tennessee. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Officers made contact with the Columbia Tennessee Police department and advised them of them of Apple’s condition. The Columbia police department located and talked with Apple. They determined that Apple was in good physical and mental condition.

shelly_appleKalamazoo Department of Public Safety is seeking assistance from the community in locating Shelly Apple. Apple was last seen on May 11th, 2016 at 2:00 am. Ms Apple is 42 years old, born 2-4-1974. She is a white female approx. 5`6″ 170 lbs. Apple has blue eyes, wavy brownish red hair, and average build.

Apple does not have a cell phone. Apple could be driving a 2003 green Volkswagen MI/DKA7180.

Apple is bipolar and also suffers from schizophrenia and it is unknown if she is taking her medication.
