Kalamazoo, MI: On May 6, 2016 at 5:45a.m., a 57 year old Kalamazoo resident was released from Bronson Methodist Hospital after being treated. Officers were dispatched to the emergency room for the same individual refusing to leave. Officers spent a considerable amount of time trying to get the man to leave, but he continued to refuse. The man told officers he would not leave and requested to be arrested. Officers arrested the 57 year old for a valid warrant.
Officers transported the individual to the Kalamazoo County Jail. Once at the jail, the individual stopped breathing. CPR was immediately administered without success. He was pronounced dead at 0741 a.m.
No further information as to the cause of death will be released at this time.
