Kalamazoo, MI: On 02-21-16 at approximately 9:00 pm officers responded to the 900 Block of Berkshire in reference to a subject that had been shot. On arrival, officers found a male victim that had been shot once in the torso and three times in the leg. He was transported to Bronson Hospital and his injuries were determined to not be life threatening.

The known subject was allowed into the house by a resident and a second subject forced his way in behind him. The second subject then produced a small caliber rifle and demanded money. The resident refused to give the subject money, and was then forced upstairs at gunpoint.
Once upstairs the suspect then forced his way into a locked room were a second resident was. A physical confrontation then took place during which the victim was shot. The suspects then fled the house on foot. A K-9 track was done, but the suspects were not located. Officers are currently following up leads to locate the suspects.
