Kalamazoo, MI: On Friday, December 25, 2015, at approximately 1:50 A.M., Kalamazoo Public Safety responded to 1020 Reed regarding a house fire. First arriving units found a female at a second story window who was rescued by ladder. A second occupant escaped the fire with his 3 year old son but was badly burned. He was taken to Bronson Hospital and is currently in critical condition. The child sustained a minor burn on his arm and is fine.
The fire was quickly extinguished but the structure was heavily damaged. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
