Report a Crime
Welcome to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Online Citizen Reporting System. Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free.
You can use the following questions to decide whether you can use the online reporting system.

| Did the incident occur outside the City of Kalamazoo? |
Call the law enforcement agency for that jurisdiction. |
| Did the incident occur on a state highway? |
Call 911 for an emergency or (269) 337-8994 for a non-emergency incident. |
| Do you know who committed the crime? |
Call 911 for an emergency or (269) 337-8994 for a non-emergency incident. |
| Does the incident involve lost, stolen or found firearms or prescription drugs? |
Call 911 for an emergency or (269) 337-8994 for a non-emergency incident. |
If you answered 'no' to all of the questions, and if you wish to report one of the incident types below, you may file a report using this system.
Upon completion of this report process you will:
- See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete.
- Be given a police report case number.
- Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.
All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed within five business days.
Filing a false police report is a crime (MCL 750.411a).
